Judy Hilsinger

Judy Hilsinger has more than thirty years successful experience in publicity, promotion, publishing, broadcasting, and market research. She founded Judy Hilsinger Inc. in 1977 in San Francisco and created a Los Angeles office in 1980. Hilsinger-Mendelson was established in 1983 with its New York City office launching the firm as a bicoastal literary public relations agency.

From Los Angeles, Ms. Hilsinger has developed national publicity for New York Times best-selling authors Dominick Dunne’s Another City, Not My Own; Nicholas Evans’ The Horse Whisperer; Stephen J. Cannell’s Shane Scully series of thrillers, and Scotty Bowers’ Full Service. In addition, she has coordinated West Coast media interviews for Tina Brown’s The Diana Chronicles, John Densmore’s The Doors: Unhinged, Barry Eisler’s The Detachment, Vanity Fair’s Maureen Orth, Marie Brenner and Amy Fine Collins on their best-selling books, National Geographic authors David Breashears’ The Last Climb and Everest, for which Breashears was a spokesperson, Tim Cahill’s Dolphins; and Robert D. Ballard’s Return to Midway.  She has coordinated press at Los Angeles publication parties for Sumner Redstone, author of A Passion to Win, Quincy Jones’ Q: The Autobiography of Quincy Jones, Larry King’s Truth Be Told and GMA anchor Lara Spencer’s I Brake For Yard Sales, among others.
